ULTRAFLEECE PROFESSIONAL BELTFILTER

The first affordable professional beltfilter. A new standard in filtration! A very professional filter, for the best mechanical filtration, with virtually no maintenance! The UltraFleece filters use an industrial quality filter membrane on a roll.

Filtering process:
The water enters the filter vessel through a pump fed construction and will run through the fleece membrane (1) where waste particles, algae, plant remnants, fish waste, etc. are collected. A "filter cake" (accumulation of waste) will develop on the membrane that further assists improved filtration. During the accumilation of this filter cake less water can run through the membrane which increases the water level in the filter. The large hydrostatic pressure that pushes the water through the already polluted membrane ensures that the UltraFleece can retain waste particles up to 20 micron. When the maximum water level has been reached, the level switch (7) will activate the conveyor-belt (5) underneath the membrane and the polluted membrane will be moved to the designated collection area (6).

A slightly increasing 30º angle ensures any waste matter remains on the membrane and is not flushed away by the water. A new section of membrane is transported from the roll which enables it to let the optimal filtered water through. As the water falls through the membrane into the pump/bio-chamber it will also be enriched with oxygen.

The water can enter an optional lower bio chamber/pump chamber (3) from where the water can flow back to the pond or to the next biological filter. Because of the cascading water, bio rings (optional) in the bio chamber can be agitated without the use of an additional air pump. Also, due to the thorough cleaning process of the membrane the bio chamber does not require cleaning maintenance. The UltraFleece reduces the maintenance of your pond enormously and gives you optimal water quality!

As a result of this you can make great savings on the use of medication, water treatment supplements, large water changes and electricity! The usage of membrane rolls is highly dependant on factors like pond size, fish load, daily amount of food etc. An average usage for Koi ponds of 40.000 litres with 20 large Koi fed on high protein food is between 8 and 15 rolls a year. Also, the pump speed can determine the usage of rolls: the lower the pump speed, the more time the dirt gets to saturate the fleece membrane and therefore increases the lifespan of the roll.
